Dr. Shari and Tracy returned to Jamaica for their third dental mission with Healthcare International. Over 1800 patients were treated by a great team of dentists, dental hygienists, dental assistants and support staff. The team often traveled a distance each day to deliver care in remote areas of Jamaica. Dental clinics were set up in schools and churches and people would come from miles to be seen. Here is just a short review of the dental mission.
Just a snippet of our January 2016 dental misson trip to Jamaica with Healthcare International. Dr. Shari and Tracy and the rest of the HCI team provided dental care to indigent communities and schools in the rural areas of Jamaica. "Global Healing with Helping Hands and Hearts". Dr. Shari and Tracy would absolutely agree that this was an incredibly rewarding experience. The need for dental care was overwhelming and in some locations, patients sat for hours waiting their turn. We will be returning January 2019.
Did you know that Dr. Shari opened her office in September 1985? So what better way to celebrate 30 years than a huge party! LPDA rented out Funplex for our patients. Dinner, dessert, rides and games for all. Go karts were a huge hit! Everyone had a great time!
